1. Editorial material, not hotel advice

Rooms With a View: Canada is an independent editorial and booking-request website. Its hotel pages, guides, comparisons and rankings are opinionated editorial material. They are written from dated research and the published facts available to the desk at the time of preparation. Buildings change, room names change, restaurant pages disappear, pools close, theatre calendars move and official websites sometimes publish little. The site does not warrant that every fact remains current after publication.

The site’s emphasis is narrow by design. It considers casino hotels as places to sleep: the room stock, the view from the window, the building, the public spaces, the newness or renovation record and the transparency of published facts. It does not recommend gambling and does not provide gambling services. Readers looking for entry ages, provincial rules and help resources should use the dedicated responsible gaming page and the official provincial sources linked there.

Where a profile says that a detail is secondary-sourced, medium confidence, low confidence, blocked, not verified or not published, that limitation is part of the information. A gap is not an invitation to infer the missing detail. A hotel that does not publish a room count, storey count, renovation date or view category may be scored accordingly.

2. Rankings and scores

The rankings on this site are editorial judgments, not universal awards, official classifications or guest-review scores. The main list is ordered by this site’s room-and-view criteria, not by casino size, gaming floor, loyalty programme, advertising spend or public reputation. The scoring method is described on how we score: view is weighted at 30, room stock and categories at 25, building and public spaces at 20, newness or renovation at 15, and transparency of published facts at 10.

Scores are computed only from supported facts. If a resort publishes little, the transparency score may be low even where the hotel is well known. If a figure comes from secondary sources, the text should say so. If two sources conflict, the site may omit the number, state the conflict, or use the more reliable source with a note. This is an editorial approach, not a promise that another reader or publication would rank the same ten hotels in the same order.

The comparison table, hotel profiles and guides are provided to help readers decide what to check with the hotel before booking. They should not be treated as a substitute for the hotel’s own confirmation of room type, view, accessibility feature, deposit, fee, cancellation rule or opening status.

3. Rates, availability and booking relationships

The site does not guarantee rates, availability, room assignments, view assignments, package inclusions, taxes, deposits, resort fees, parking charges, cancellation terms or eligibility for any offer. Prices are mentioned only where the underlying research contains a dated, supported price. Otherwise the absence of a price means only that this site is not publishing one.

When a reader follows an official hotel link, uses a hotel booking path, or asks the desk to check a room, the resulting booking is between the reader and the hotel or the booking partner that accepts the reservation. Rooms With a View: Canada is not the hotel, does not own or operate any property listed, and is not responsible for hotel performance, overbooking, changes to amenities, denied entry, payment processing, refunds, chargebacks, security deposits or the accuracy of a third-party booking system.

The desk may help by checking dates, a preferred hotel, a named room category, a requested view or a season. That help is informational and administrative. It is not a guarantee that the hotel will provide a particular storey, outlook, bed type, connecting room, accessible room, suite, show date, pool access, restaurant table or parking arrangement. Readers should review the hotel’s own terms before paying.

4. Links, partners and use of the site

The site links to official hotel pages where possible and may earn referral revenue when readers book through links or ask the desk to arrange a stay. The commercial model is described on how this site earns. Referral arrangements do not give a hotel the right to set its ranking, rewrite criticism or suppress a supported limitation in a profile.

External websites are controlled by their owners. A link to a hotel, partner, regulator, help line or other source is not a warranty that the external site is secure, complete, available, current or suitable for the reader’s purpose. The site is not responsible for losses arising from use of external websites or from decisions made after reading this site.

Readers may use the site for personal travel research. They may not scrape, republish, frame, sell, misrepresent or systematically copy the site’s text, scores, tables or structure without permission. Short quotations with attribution are acceptable where permitted by law. Attempts to interfere with the site, submit false requests or impersonate another person may result in refusal of service.

5. Privacy, liability and governing law

Use of desk forms and analytics is addressed in the privacy notice. A reader who sends a request should provide only the information needed to check the room: dates, party size, preferred hotel and practical constraints. The site does not need sensitive personal information to compare room categories or ask a hotel about availability.

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. The publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost savings, lost bookings, travel disruption or disappointment arising from use of the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute relating to the site, its editorial content, desk requests or these terms is to be dealt with under Ontario law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply.
